Our Story
BUILDING A TRUSTED BRAND
Gassetts Group opened its doors in the 80s as a Design-Build firm in Ludlow, Vermont. Now responsible for building many of the iconic trailside homes on Okemo Mountain, the company has grown outside of the Okemo Valley area and into the Southern Vermont region.
In 2019, Justin Savage took ownership of the company and has continued to provide impeccable quality with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
Scott Kilgus, an original partner of Gassetts Group, remains on staff as the Designer along with many of the core employees that make this company such a well-oiled and trusted machine.
Meet Justin Savage
OWNER OF GASSETTS GROUP
Justin was born and raised on a local dairy farm right here in Vermont. After high school, Justin served in the Air Force and eventually met his wife Maureen, of Village Tile, in California. They moved back to the Green Mountain State to be closer to family while raising their three children.
Justin currently lives around the corner from the Gassetts Group office in the quaint village of Cavendish with his wife, kids, and their three dogs. Living in Vermont, Justin can be found taking daily hikes with his dogs and visiting the current project sites.
Meet Scott Kilgus
DESIGNER AT GASSETTS GROUP
Scott is the lead Designer for Gassetts Group, and has been with the company since they opened their doors in the 80s.
Scott received his Masters in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and has used his skills to draft, plan, and design many of the most beautiful homes at Solitude Village on Okemo Mountain and around Southern Vermont in Ludlow, Stratton, and more.
Meet Lance Lichtensteiger
PROJECT MANAGER AT GASSETTS GROUP
Lance has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry working on stunning homes throughout Vermont.
He enjoys the process of taking the client's vision and making it become a reality. You'll often see Lance on the project site getting his hands dirty along with the construction team.
Meet Shannon Devereux
OFFICE MANAGER AT GASSETTS GROUP
Shannon has been in the construction industry for over 25 years, including renovating old homes and new construction. She now keeps the Gassetts Group office running smoothly and staying on top of every day operations.
When she's not using power tools, you'll find her enjoying nature in the woods of Vermont or spending time with her dogs and chickens.
